2020 COVID19 Cancelation Notice

The decision to cancel the 2020 Buckhorn Festival of the Arts was a tough one, but a necessary one. Current COVID19 restrictions outlined by the Province of Ontario made the event no longer viable. “The show must go on” is in our DNA, and this is the first time in 43 years that the August event will not take place. We are comforted knowing our artists, volunteers and community are not being put in harm's way with the novel coronavirus, for that would be a burden we could not bear.

We want to do a special shout out to our festival sponsors. It's these individuals and companies that have gone above and beyond. They support BFOTA, a fundraiser for the nonprofit Buckhorn Community Centre. They are true LEADERS and need to be recognized for their devotion to our nonprofit organization.

Though it’s true that our August 2020 event will no longer take place in the way that we intended, we continue to strive toward our purpose – helping creative people achieve their goals. Sue will continue to post all artists information weekly: returning artists on Saturday and Sunday, new artists on Tuesdays, in order to send new followers your way.

We are now working through the ramifications of this unprecedented situation. Due to the lockdown we are working from home and Michelle is going in once a week to check emails as we continue to have difficulties with forwarding them. Therefore, we ask for your patience while we begin the next process of refunding your booth fees.

Should you wish us to apply your 2020 booth payment to 2021 please let us know,

please reply by Monday May 11th to info@buckhornartfestival.ca

Reimbursement will be made by cheque as we shredded credit card information after each payment was made. We will send an additional email out when we know the timing of the cheque’s being mailed.

We look forward to 2021 when we can gather together again.
